Jaya Sravani Sirigineedi joined the lab in September 2023 during her first semester as a graduate student in Computer Science at UNC Charlotte. In her role, she leverages her experience in Java and Spring Boot to develop and enhance the Integrated Genome Browser (IGB) using Java and OSGi.
Prior to her studies at UNC Charlotte, Jaya Sravani worked as a Backend Developer at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) from 2020 to 2022. At TCS, she developed a large-scale application for a healthcare client in the US by collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement features for patient treatment and test result management. She then joined Backbase, a product-based fintech company, where she customized Backbase products for a banking client in Saudi Arabia by creating new features and modifying existing ones to match the client’s requirements.
Jaya Sravani received her Bachelor of Technology degree in Information Technology from SASTRA Deemed University in India. Her strong foundation in backend development, combined with her current work at IGB, highlights her commitment to advancing bioinformatics through effective software solutions.
